NEWCOMERS & NEW MEMBERS WELCOME

PROGRAMME 2024

Wednesday 1st May Worldham GC Bentley

Friday 28th June Surbiton GC Claygate

Wednesday 14th August Gatton Manor GC Ockley

Wednesday 17th September Blacknest G & CC Alton

The Shamley Green Golf Society programme for 2024 has been completed. The four meetings are detailed above. The usual format is coffee and bacon roll on arrival, followed by 18 holes of golf, then lunch and presentation of prizes. The exception this year is the first meeting at the Worldham Golf Club near Bentley, where lunch will be served at the ‘Three Horseshoes’ an atmospheric public house, a few hundred yards from the club. As this year celebrates the Society’s tenth anniversary, they are returning to Gatton Manor GC, the venue for their very first meeting in 2014. On this occasion the Club will provide a Hog Roast.

The Captain for the coming season is Jim Drummond, and the Vice-Captain is Julian Lamden. New members are welcome providing they have a bona fide handicap. The Society has 58 members with handicaps ranging from 2 to 36. There is no annual fee, simply a joining fee of £15.
