Shamley Green History Society

We are one of the oldest societies in the village, which offers interesting monthly talks and occasional visits to local buildings of architectural interest.

At present we  have close to 100 members but newcomers are always welcome.  The annual subscription is £10 per person or £15 per couple. All our talks are held at the Arbuthnot Hall, Shamley Green, at 2.30 p.m. and we also have a Social Lunch for members every January.
Our Chairman (elect) is Philip Dunn and more information about us can be found on our notice board outside the shop and in the Parish Magazine.  Visitors/non members are welcome at our meetings, when membership forms will be available.
The next illustrated talk by Paul Whittle - “Steaming On”, Best of UK's heritage railways, will be on Wednesday 29th May, at 2.30 pm in the Arbuthnot Hall, followed by tea and biscuits. Non-members will be welcome for a fee of £3.00.
